The Mitzel Group is pleased to announce the addition of William “Bill” Metke to the executive committee for the Bar Association of San Francisco’s (BASF) Labor and Employment Law Section.

Founded in 1872, BASF is a nonprofit organization comprised of attorneys, law students, and legal professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its mission is to champion equal access to justice for all and promote humanity, excellence, and diversity in the legal profession. BASF’s Labor and Employment Law Section, one of nearly 30 dedicated practice area sections, provides a forum to discuss matters of mutual concern and produces Continuing Legal Education programs to advance professional growth and education.
Bill is senior counsel at the Mitzel Group, where he counsels clients on all aspects of employment law. With almost 20 years of experience as a civil litigator, Bill has represented numerous clients before California and Federal courts, administrative bodies, and in private arbitration. In addition, he provides advice and counsel to small and mid-sized employers across a range of industries.
In 2009 and 2010, Bill was recognized as a Rising Star by California Super Lawyers. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient and a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society. Prior to becoming an attorney, Bill worked in a variety of fields, including finance, education, retail commerce, hospitality, and the arts.
