The Mitzel Group congratulates senior counsel Phyllis Simon for being named “2021 Affinity Group Leader of the Year” by ProVisors, a national business organization with chapters in major cities throughout the country. A member of the network’s San Francisco Region, Phyllis helped establish and leads the nationwide Provisors Black Professionals Affinity Group.

Phyllis’ honor recognizes her role and efforts to advance DEI causes and ensure that DEI principles are foundational throughout all of ProVisors’ actions and activities.
Within The Mitzel Group, Phyllis leverages more than 20 years of experience in counseling businesses and individuals regarding business transactions and tax matters. She skillfully assists clients with business formations, contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolutions, and representation before regulatory agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB), the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA), and local tax authorities.
