N. William Metke
Bill Metke counsels our clients on a broad range of matters as they navigate the intricacies of California employment law. When workplace complications arise, our clients turn to Bill for advice and reassurance, no matter how thorny the problem is at hand. In those cases where a dispute is unavoidable, Bill brings a depth of experience in defending our clients against lawsuits or administrative claims. Bill has been a civil litigator for nearly twenty years and has represented countless clients before the California and Federal courts, state administrative bodies, and in private arbitration. While he is a specialist in employment law, Bill has also defended clients in trade secret and other commercial litigation, as well as personal injury and wrongful death matters. Bill’s comprehensive and strategic approach to dispute resolution helps our clients to better understand and manage the often-complicated and stressful world of litigation.
Before joining the Mitzel Group as senior counsel, Bill worked at four different boutique law firms in the Bay Area. He also maintained a successful solo litigation practice in San Francisco for eight years. Bill’s employment law practice is often informed by the diversity of his own work history. Before becoming an attorney, Bill worked in a variety of fields, including finance, education, retail commerce, hospitality, and the arts.
Bill is an avid music fan, and he gets out to see live shows as often as he can.
