Jennifer H. Bernstein
Of Counsel
Jennifer H. Bernstein is a New York-based attorney whose practice is focused on advising small to mid-sized businesses on corporate law, new media law, and intellectual property registration and protection. Her drafting work for clients includes partnership agreements, service agreements, website license agreements, including terms of service and Beta End-User license agreements, and privacy policies. Jennifer counsels clients through all the possible scenarios that a business may need to protect itself both online and off as they grow.
Prior to joining The Mitzel Group, Jennifer worked as an associate at a boutique litigation firm where she was on the adversarial end of intellectual property disputes and contract litigation in Federal Court. After years of being involved in all phases of the litigation life cycle, Jennifer realized that representing entrepreneurs, small businesses and creative types as they see their businesses successfully, and safely, expand was where her passion lies. While in law school, Jennifer clerked for in-house corporate counsel at Gucci Group, N.V., and was one of two students chosen for the prestigious Alexander Fellows clinic where she had the opportunity to be a full-time student law clerk for Hon. Judge Jack B. Weinstein, in the Eastern District, of the United States Federal Court.
Jennifer is a member of the New York City Bar Association and volunteers with NYC’s chapter of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. In her free time, she can be found roaming NY’s food markets or chronicling her support of the local food movement on Twitter or her blog.
